16 miles into Belden. We got the last two spots at the trail angel's house (4 people only). Poison oak gauntlet the last 3 miles, probably the worst 3 miles ever. The scale here says I've lost 20 pounds since leaving the Pole! Saw two big eagles in town over the river while we were walking down the road to do laundry and get milkshakes. On the way back from doing laundry, we picked a bunch of black berries to snack on. The trail angel made us cookies that evening while we went through our resupply boxes and packed up again. In the morning, she made us muffins and cut up a big watermelon. Fantastic place, good to have a quiet town visit although it would have been good to have a little internet to update the blog, I guess it'll just have to wait for the next stop.
Showered and in clean loner town clothes with milkshakes. Awesome.
