Shoes

My shoes have been holding up fantasticly... There is a 500 miles difference between these two pairs! Can you tell which is which?

Hint: The ones on the right have 550 miles on them.

I have addias trail runners Kanadia 7 I believe is the style, they were on sale at Costco when I was there to pick up some granola bars and other trail food. Costco doesn't carry them anymore which is really too bad, I should have bought more of them, they are light, dry fast, and my feet love them. 

Change of Plans

There was a land slide on the access road to the trail head to go South bound, so doing a South sound thru hike got immensely more complex to pull off. So I've decided to change to plan and go North bound from Walker Pass because that is what ended up making the most sense for me. I did really enjoy the idea of ending with the Sierra but I also didn't want to have to rush it or skip it in the event that I get a job with an earlier start date and/or I end up walking a bit slower then expected. I think there will be less pressure to walk quickly and it logistically makes life more simple and it will turn out to be more enjoyable. Smiles before miles, that's what's important.
