Decided to do a long day today because we were walking quickly without really trying to. We did 10.2 before ten and took three long breaks and still did 23 by 6pm. Easy walking all day, lots of up and down but never all that much all at once which was nice. The terrain is changing again and it was very windy most of the day so no mosquitoes! The horse flies were still pretty bad though.
There was a tent site for one person at 23 so we squeezed into it because we didn't feel like going any further. It was near water so I got to wash my face, legs and hands, I got pretty dirty today, there hasn't been that many big stream crossings in a few days. It feels nice to be semi clean. It's a bit cold in camp tonight but also no mosquitoes for once, it's pretty amazing. There are some pretty cool lenticular clouds forming in the distance. Tomorrow we get to Tahoe and get to eat so much food, rest up and send home the bear canister! Yay! Less weight!
