Got up and walked the 2 miles to Red's Meadow bought some Cheetos and joined Sonya and Navigator for breakfast at the Mule Cafe. It was a 50's mountain diner type place with deer heads on the wall and plastic red and white checkered table clothes. I got French toast which I devoured in under 5 minutes and the giant chocolate milkshake which was everything I'd been dreaming of. We hit the trail again after 2 hours and were feel quite full. Met a bunch of day hikers who were very impressed by our undertaking. We are just day hiking too... just everyday! We made it 16 miles and found a nice camp spot with a great view so we called it a day. We probably should have just stopped for dinner and continued because it was only just after 4 but we played two games of cribbage, watched the sunset and took it easy instead. Tomorrow will be a big day. Two passes and 22 miles into Tuolumne. They are little passes though.
