Lazy morning, we didn't hit the trail until 6:30. Still did 14 miles by noon.
Met a guy going for the supported time record of the PCT. He was 26 days in. That's an average of 46 miles a day from the border and he was planning on running 52 miles today.
There was an interesting seep water source. We actually have to pay attention to the distances between water sources again.
The geology and forest changed a lot today. I love watching the transitions. 
We were both feeling a little down about leaving the Sierra behind and we came over a ridge and saw Mount Lassen looming on the horizon! Something new to watch grow bigger for the next week or so!
Met Gatorade and Union from Oregon and Safety First, a guy from San Diego, he gave me a few granola bars because he over packed and I don't say no to food.
A few deer were tromping around camp for a while making funny noises and running around.
