We walked 3 miles to Horseshoe Meadows and waited two hours for a hitch. We arrived in Lone Pine slept in beds at the hostel, stopped by the laundromat, pizza place, grocery store, post office, library, ice cream place and the outfitters to get Emily new shoes. Crazy town day! Delicious pizza and ice cream. Nice clean clothes. And a hostel with a view of Mt Whitney. Three cheers for showers and not rationing tp!
