Day 130

Stopped at the bakery again in the morning and got a sticky bun and the rest of the thumbprints (they are so delicious, something between a cookie and shortbread rolled in nuts and with homemade berry jam on top in the middle).

Pretty mediocre day. Really hot. No shade. No views. No breeze. Just autumn colored whip-your-legs plants all day. My knees/feet didn't like my heavy pack either. I was expecting great things because we were walking through the north Cascades national park but it looks like the trail took the not scenic route. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Everyone says the north Cascades are awesome.

I've definitely learned that I don't function well when it's hot. It's just too hot to walk or do much of anything above 85.

Trail magic at rainy pass was hamburgers. The guy "pct support droid" had a cool set up and gave me some oreos and the left over tomato slices. I gave him one of the cinnamon rolls from Stehekin that I packed out. I packed out two and they were just getting too heavy. I have a lot of food this section, I'll be eating very well. It felt good to be able to trail magic a trail angel too.

Camped with Australian Chips, Ruckus, Apple and Misty.
