Day 117: White Pass

New shoes! The old ones have withstood about 1200 miles. Good on ya shoes, thank you and into the trash bin you go.

Woke up to a creek big enough to be on the water report running through my tarp and under my bivy. I was dry but pretty cold. And everything was damp. The sun needs to come out so I can have a serious drying break.

Resupplied at white pass. Got there when it opened and had the place to ourselves. So many hikers there at about 10. Raining more. Sun was not coming out. Cold and wet. Hiked out into it anyways.

Hiked all day cold and wet. In trees. At least the trees are keeping the wind down, with wind today would be more miserable.

The rain stopped to set up camp and we met "straight fire" and a few of his friends. I made a fire and we dried socks and cooked marshmallows.

In bed fairly late, 8:40 it's dark and a little chilly. Hope the sun comes out so we can dry things out tomorrow.
